Building on the design language of Harman/Kardon, the task was to create a flagship speaker that would stand out in any room. My aim was to honour the company’s roots while introducing a twist—unexpected, yet almost inevitable.

Recent designs from the company have featured bold metal handles as defining, iconic elements. Here, the soundbox rests on three mirror-polished aluminium legs, drawing inspiration from furniture design. This gesture raises the top interface, bringing the touchscreen into the natural reach of the hand.
